Yes, but successful mobile or independent work requires insurance, tools, parts access, customer service, compliance, scheduling, and business systems in addition to technical skill.
Will electric boats replace marine mechanics?
There is no credible basis for saying they will eliminate the occupation. Electric propulsion may reduce some engine-maintenance tasks while increasing work involving batteries, controls, networks, power conversion, and software-assisted diagnostics.
