Aviation Maintenance Technical Engineer – Certificate

The Aviation Maintenance Technical Engineer (AMTE) 27-month certificate program covers subjects ranging from the basic theories of flight to advanced electronic systems on modern aircraft. Students receive classroom instruction and hands-on experience in areas such as sheet metal, composite repair, hydraulics, avionics, and engines. The program aims to prepare the graduate with the knowledge and skills to pass the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) tests and earn a mechanic certificate with A&P License.

Aviation Maintenance Technician – Certificate

The 21-month Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) certificate program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to excel as an aircraft mechanic. This training provides preparation for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) test to become a certified Airframe and Powerplant Technician, which can lead to opportunities in aviation maintenance.

Students are given instruction in servicing, repairing, and overhauling aircraft components and systems, including the airframe, piston engines, turbine engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, propellers, instrumentation, warning, and environmental systems.

Aviation Maintenance Technology – AAS Degree

The 21-month Associate of Applied Science Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology program offers students the education and practical skills needed for a position in today's aviation industry. It covers general education, technical skills, and knowledge of aircraft systems while encouraging critical thinking, writing, math, science, and communication skills.

Students can gain specialized skills in structures, powerplants, aircraft systems, flight controls, and engines, which can help them become eligible for FAA certification as an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic.

The 7-month Avionics Technician Program is designed for individuals with prior training or experience in aircraft maintenance or electronics repair. It aims to prepare students for career opportunities in aircraft electrical systems, aviation electronics, troubleshooting, and repair. For those without previous experience, the program provides fundamental skills in airframe and powerplant maintenance, along with specialized knowledge that may lead to opportunities in the avionics field.

Combination Welding – Diploma

The 8-month Combination Welding Diploma Program provides hands-on training in basic welding and flame-cutting skills, together with classroom instruction in welding theory. Graduates should be prepared to take the American Welding Society (AWS) 3G-4G certification test.

Electrical Technician – Diploma

The 12-month Electrical Technician course is dynamic and efficient. You'll dive into topics like electrical theory, wiring methods, blueprint reading, equipment selection, and safety protocols through classroom instruction and hands-on lab settings. The program also covers troubleshooting, life-safety systems, and electrical equipment maintenance to ensure systems run safely and efficiently.

AIM's 15-month Maintenance Technician certificate program introduces students to electricity, transportation structures, power systems, hydraulics, and electrical control systems. It also covers documenting maintenance procedures to support a safe and compliant work environment. The program offers specialized instruction in non-destructive testing, welding, wind energy, 3D printing, and other fields relevant to the local industry.
