Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Training
Start learning what it takes to drive commercial trucks and tractor-trailers. At NETTTS, you can receive both classroom and on-the-road training. In fact, this school has been providing training to aspiring truck drivers for over 50 years. And it offers CDL training at all four of its New England locations.
Through the school's Class A CDL training, you can learn how to safely operate heavy combination vehicles such as tractor-trailers. Courses cover various aspects of professional truck driving. They include instruction in areas such as safety and defensive driving, air brake systems, cargo loading and unloading, using weights and scales, making log book entries, transporting hazardous materials, and following state and federal regulations. The school even gives you the chance to practice taking a CDL-A test before you graduate.
NETTTS also offers Class B CDL training, which is for driving buses or straight trucks that are part of the second-heaviest weight class. Just like in the school's Class A training, you'll have the opportunity to get behind the wheel and practice driving on streets and highways. Along with the classroom modules, it's all designed as preparation for taking the CDL-B test.
HVACR Service Technician Training
Begin learning the practical skills of the heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration industry. NETTTS offers HVAC instruction at two of its convenient locations—North Andover, MA and Pawtucket, RI. That means you have the chance to learn about installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the climate-control equipment that makes residential and commercial indoor spaces comfortable.
Both of the school's HVACR training facilities feature the type of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment that is often found in residential and commercial buildings today. And each student receives his or her own set of tools and testing equipment for use in the program's hands-on skill-building sessions.
Practical Student Support
Students at NETTTS have access to staff members who can provide valuable services to help them get the most out of their training experiences. For example, financial aid is available to students who qualify, and the schools Financial Aid Advisors can assist you in determining your eligibility for it. In addition, the school's Career Services Support department offers job placement assistance that includes help with developing good job-search skills and works to prepare students to enter the job market.
