If it were feasible, you would live in your car. That is how much you love the automobile! WyoTech will prepare you for an exciting career working with automobiles through the Motorsports Chassis Fabrication program. You will learn how to work with metal so you are able to fabricate specialty automotive chassis'. You become familiar with different metal types and how they are configured.
You are shown how to develop and read mechanical drawings so you are able to perform tasks such as metal finishing, cutting, and MIG and TIG welding. The instructors also teach you how to design and modify frames. This includes boxing, roll cage construction, and c-notching. You will be able to use the tools and equipment commonly found in shops, such as engine lathes, vertical mills, grinders, and sanders. You will graduate ready to begin an exciting automotive career as a welder, metal fabricator, race team technician, and more!
