A couple of years from now, you could be working anywhere in the world for a company like Jaguar, BMW, Toyota, Lexus, Ford, or General Motors. But no matter where you want to be, if your desire is to become a professional technician in the automotive field, WyoTech can help you get there. Simply sign on to study for your Associate in Specialized Technology degree and begin enlisting the comprehensive and up-to-date skills you need. As a student, you will be pleased to experience some of your lessons through in-class audio-visual demonstrations. You will also take part in hands-on instruction, such as learning to use electronic diagnostic equipment and portable drivability dynamometers so you can access the correct diagnosis and repair procedures for drivability problems.
As you complete WyoTech’s Automotive Technology program, you may choose to continue your studies to develop a concentrated career focus. This option, only located at the Fremont, California campus, allows you to choose from three specific concentrations: Advanced Diagnostics, Motorsports, and Service Management.
The Advanced Diagnostics concentration will teach you the applied diagnostics approach to repairing sophisticated, late model vehicles. It also doubles as a prep course for the California Smog Technician License Exam.
The Motorsports concentration is an ASE Master Automotive Training Program that offers you the relevant background you need to qualify for more advanced service technician positions in a race team environment.
The Service Management concentration produces graduates who are professionally prepared to seek work with employers that offer growth in their management departments.
