Do you have a keen ability to translate words to print? Doctors and other healthcare professionals need detail-oriented staff to transcribe dictated recordings into typed medical reports, correspondence, and other administrative material.
As a student of this program, you will learn to be proficient in medical terminology so that you can key the text into a personal computer or word processor, editing as necessary for grammar and clarity. Once hired as a professional Medical Transcriptionist, you may also be asked to perform other office duties such as receiving patients, scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, and handling incoming and outgoing mail.
