You can plunge into a new career today by taking one of the Plumbing programs at Vatterott College. The programs can prepare you to become a Plumbing Maintenance or Service Technician. You can familiarize yourself with plumbing codes, fixtures, backflow principles, and hot and cold water delivery.
With both options, you will take a detailed look at the plumbing industry, tools used, and safety practices. You can attain mathematical and measuring skills, as well as working knowledge of blueprints and National Plumbing Codes. You can also learn the essentials of working with pipe, including brazing and soldering.
The Plumbing Technology program can show you the steps necessary to complete accurate plumbing estimates. You will also take a more detailed look at plumbing regulations and codes. You are shown how to interpret isometric drawings and blueprints. This program can offer the skills needed to take on higher level plumbing positions. With either program, you should graduate with the ability to install, service, and troubleshoot plumbing fixtures in kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas of the home!
