Vatterott College HVACR Mechanic HVACR Technology
Vatterott College is here to meet all of your HVAC training needs. It offers three different levels of training within the heating, air conditioning and refrigeration fields. All three programs start with the same platform. You can be prepared to work in HVAC right from a beginner to an advanced level. This includes positions such as mechanic, senior service technician, and plant and systems operator.
You will first learn about basic electrical theory as it applies to the field of HVAC. You will be introduced to the basic concepts of refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning. You then move onto commercial HVAC and advanced refrigeration techniques. This can equip you with the entry-level skills needed to offer service and maintenance.
These programs will then teach you how to design systems based on building components, as well as how to operate programmable logic controllers and develop programs. You will also be shown how to create CAD documents for installing and operating HVAC systems.
