Vatterott College
Commercial Art

Is art one of your favorite pastimes? You love everything from the classics, such as Van Gogh and Dali, to the modern age of art in advertising and promotions. If this is you, consider training to become a Graphic Designer through the Commercial Art program at Vatterott College. This program will teach you about traditional and computer graphics.

You will first be introduced to illustration and typography. You will explore design and layout, using actual job scenarios as a basis for projects. Once this foundation is set, you can acquire advanced skills in design, layout, typography, and illustration. You will take a detailed look at computer graphics on both PC and Mac platforms.

You can move to an advanced level using Mac and sophisticated software solutions. You will also look at how Mac’s are used for web design. Focus is placed on Mac, as this is the most commonly used platform within major graphic design firms. You will find this program to be largely project based, which helps you gain real working skills. This includes problem-solving, and analytical and critical thinking. This is your chance to put your creative skills to work!
