Auto Mechanic School
Stratford’s auto mechanic school home study program has been designed to teach students the function and repair of each automobile system. Beginning with a look at the career of an auto mechanic and the set-up of an automotive workshop, lessons will then examine the many mechanical and electrical systems that work together to create a functioning automobile. Stratford will also send each student an assortment of tools and materials aimed to help understand the course material.
With millions of vehicles sold throughout the United States each year, qualified auto mechanics are in constant demand. The automobile industry itself renews models, options and features with each season, leaving mechanics to learn each new repair technique. As car models change and improve, and older models need repairs, the need for trained and reliable mechanics continues to grow. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, employment for auto mechanics will increase by 39% over the next seven years. More than 60,000 new jobs will be filled by those who possess the proper education and training, ensuring them employment that is both secure and in demand.
An auto mechanic can begin a career in an automotive shop, alongside other mechanics, where they may learn from both practice and the experience of others. Skillful and dedicated auto mechanics may even decide to open their own repair shops, working for themselves and setting their own hours. Your Stratford career diploma will provide you with the proper education and training to open doors to countless opportunities.
Training to become an automotive mechanic is the first step to finding rewarding and lucrative employment.
