You can learn to assist attorneys with investigating, case screening, preparing legal documents, searching public records, and much more. The courses you will take include:
- Legal Writing
- Legal Research and Analysis
- Civil Litigation
- Family Law
- Criminal Law and Procedure
You will complete your training with a 96-hour legal practicum where you will get a feel of what a Paralegal or Legal Assistant does on a daily basis. Once you graduate, you'll find that there are many career opportunities available beyond law firms. You could also work in a corporate legal department, or for local, state, or federal government. Your career could even start at an insurance, finance, or collection company. There are many paths you can take!
