Truck Driving CDL A & B
In Northeast Technical Institute’s Truck Driving programs, you will gain actual behind-the-wheel practice in both the driver-training yard and on the road. You will begin the program in the classroom where you learn about pre-trip inspection and the rules of the road. You then move to the driver-training yard where you will learn straight backing, parallel parking, and more. Once you have built your confidence, you move to actual road driving instruction where you become proficient in shifting, lane changing, and speed control.
CDL A is a 4-week day course or a 10-week weekend course. CDL B is a 2 ½-week day course or a 6-week weekend course. The difference between the two is the CDL A is more extensive and includes extra endorsements. It all depends on how quickly you want to be on the road and the level of skill you require. Regardless of the option you choose, you will be driving your career to success in no time!
