Pharmacy Technology

The Associate of Science Pharmacy Technology program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to work in a retail or hospital pharmacy, or other pharmacy setting.

You will learn to effectively assist the pharmacist and may provide medications and other healthcare products to customers or patients. Your responsibilities will vary depending on the facility you work with. You will learn through classroom lectures, a mock lab setting, and will then complete a 160-hour externship in a real pharmacy setting.

Completion of this program allows you to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam. You will be prepared to work in a hospital, nursing care facility, retail or wholesale pharmacy, a drug manufacturer, or HMO.
