Criminal Justice

The Associate of Science program in Criminal Justice prepares students academically and professionally for entry-level positions in the criminal justice field as correction officers, law enforcement officers, probation officers, private security personnel, and parole officers. (Employment with certain law enforcement agencies may require separate certification through basic police training (academy).

The curriculum provides a broad knowledge of the criminal justice system, methods, techniques, procedures and technologies and is designed to offer a balance of theory and application that will prove useful in the field. The graduate can demonstrate communication and employability skills and can apply appropriate business ethics to all areas of the job.
