MINNESOTA SCHOOL OF COSMETOLOGY Nail Technology Program
This 350 hour program offers students the opportunity to study the cosmetics used to enhance arms, hands, and nails. Pre-clinical training includes a look at anatomy, dermatology, chemistry. Courses cover safety and sanitation related to manicuring, and Minnesota statutes pertaining to manicuring practice.
In your practical work, students each perform at least 50 manicures. Ten of these will include the application of artificial nails, three of which are sculpted on the nail.
Upon completion of this program, you will understand the procedures involved in performing a manicure, and be able to determine when to use each procedure. You will be prepared to pursue a career as a professional technician.
