Veterinary technologists might also advance into other related careers such as veterinary office supervisors, animal caretakers, wildlife animal rehabilitators or humane society workers.

Minnesota School of Business can train you in veterinary technology in as little as two years. In addition, you will also be required to complete a 300 hour externship in a veterinary clinic to gain real world experience to enhance your employability. Your externship will typically include hands-on training assisting veterinarians with examinations and treatments, assisting in surgery, radiology and patient care and performing office and laboratory procedures.
