Massage Therapy Diploma & Degree Programs
Massage therapy is one of the fastest growing areas of alternative health and wellness therapy, gaining acceptance and praise from health care professionals and society at large. As a massage therapist, you will apply massage treatments using your hands and other equipment to aid in rehabilitation, alleviate pain and promote relaxation.
Minnesota School of Health Science* offers a Diploma program and a Associate in Applied Science Degree program in massage therapy. You can complete the Diploma program in as little as four quarters and the AAS Degree in as little as six quarters. Upon graduation you will be qualified to apply for certification with the American Massage Therapy Association.
Classes for this program are taught by industry professionals, with emphasis on hands-on learning. You will learn how to assess each client's needs and to formulate and implement the appropriate treatment plan. Diversified opportunities exist in massage and rehabilitation clinics, spas, resorts, sports organizations, hotels, fitness centers and hospitals. You could also start your own massage therapy practice.
