Dental Assisting
Students can become an important part of a dental team once they complete the Dental Assisting program at Miller-Motte Technical College. This program provides many skills, including how to offer chairside assistance, maintain the clinic, keep supplies stocked, schedule patients, and maintain patient charts. Students will also learn how to create dental radiographs and prepare patients for surgeries and treatments. Learning these skills will lead graduates to entry-level Dental Assistant positions.

Healthcare Assistant
The Healthcare Assistant program provides students with a background in general medical areas such as terminology and anatomy and physiology and a concentration in Phlebotomy and Electrocardiography. Students receive training in venipuncture and skin puncture, various methods of blood collection and transportation, running electrocardiograms, and OSHA and other healthcare regulations. Graduates are eligible to sit for certification exams in Phlebotomy and ECG and may seek entry-level employment in physician’s offices, clinics or laboratories, hospitals, group practices, and nursing homes, or they may elect to continue their education to earn the Healthcare Technician
associate degree.

Massage Therapy
The objective of the Massage Therapy Diploma program is to provide the student with the clinical skills necessary to perform the duties of a massage therapist in a variety of medical and entrepreneurial settings.
The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Massage Therapy provides the graduate with a broad business and academic background on which to pursue entrepreneurial pursuits in the spa/healing arts and Allied Health fields, as well as the necessary medical/clinical skills to perform the duties of a massage therapist.

Medical Assisting
The Medical Assisting program prepares graduates to work in doctors' offices, hospitals and other medical facilities, performing both administrative and clinical duties under the supervision of a licensed health care practitioner. Graduates are eligible to directly challenge the AAMA Certification Examination for Medical Assistants for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential. This is the only medical assisting credential that is currently recognized by the American Medical Association.

Medical Office Assistant
MMTC's Medical Office Assistant program prepares individuals for challenging medical office careers in the health care industry. Students master front office skills such as keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, medical records management, and insurance and coding procedures. Emphasis is also placed on communication and computational skills.
Graduates may seek positions as administrative assistants in doctors' offices, clinics, hospitals, and other health care facilities.

Pharmacy Assistant
This Pharmacy Assistant program provides entry-level training for the person seeking a career as a Pharmacy Assistant. The program includes preparation in general medical areas such as terminology and law and ethics, as well as a concentration in specialized pharmacy courses.
Graduates will be able to assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining written and computerized medication records, and in a variety of other tasks associated with pharmacy operations in hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and where medication is dispensed. The Pharmacy Technology program provides entry-level training for the person seeking a career as a Pharmacy Technician. The program includes preparation in general medical areas such as terminology and anatomy and physiology and a concentration in specialized pharmacy courses.
Graduates will be able to assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining written and computerized medication records, and in a variety of other tasks associated with pharmacy operations in hospitals, clinics, retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical wholesalers, mail order and Internet pharmacies, and where medication is dispensed. Professional Massage Therapist
The Professional Massage Therapist is an extensive course in Massage Therapy modalities with emphasis on wellness, pathology, and massage protocols. The objective is to give the student the knowledge necessary to develop massage protocol and perform an extensive therapeutic massage with focus on whole body wellness.
Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will receive a diploma and is prepared for an entry level position as a Professional Massage Therapist. Graduates of this program are eligible to sit for the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Sterile Processing
The Sterile Processing program at MMTC is for students who wish to pursue an entry-level career on a sterile processing team. Students learn to clean, sterilize, and assemble surgical and medical equipment, supplies, and instruments based on set procedures and techniques. Students become familiar with the supplies and equipment used for surgery, obstetrics, and in other patient areas of hospitals and clinics.
This program prepares students for careers in hospitals and surgical centers. Graduates could find work as a Sterile Processing Technician, Central Processing Technician, Sterile Supply Attendant, and more. Graduates can also continue their studies to earn their Associate Degree in Surgical Technology.

Surgical Technology
The Surgical Technology Program prepares the graduate to work as a Surgical Technologist in an operating room with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical team members. Surgical Technologists maintain asepsis in the operating room, pass instruments and sterile items and equipment to the surgeon during a procedure, maintain the sterile field, and prepare instruments, supplies and equipment before and after an operation.
Graduates may be eligible for positions as Scrub Surgical Technologist, Circulating Surgical Technologist, or Second Assisting Technologist. Graduates of CAAHEP-accredited programs are eligible to sit for the national certification exam in Surgical Technology to become a Certified Surgical Technologist. (CST)
