Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork
Physicians have found massage to be an important part of health and healing. Massage provides many great benefits, including injury rehabilitation and stress reduction. In Kaplan College's Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork Associate Degree program, you will find similar coursework to the Clinical Massage Therapy program, but will advance your skills in the clinical, holistic, and technical arenas.
You will become familiar with common sports injuries. You learn to perform reflexology, acupressure, trigger point, and myofascial techniques. The coursework also takes you through aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, shower treatments, and body wraps.
The training even prepares you to write the exam presented by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Your credentials and skills will help you begin a fulfilling massage career within any establishment from resorts, spas, and salons to rehab centers, physio clinics, and hospitals.
