Law firms are increasingly hiring paralegals because they are capable of performing many tasks traditionally carried out by lawyers. Kaplan College will qualify you to handle anything from preparing legal research to assisting with trial preparations through the Paralegal Studies Associate Degree program.
You will gain the skills and knowledge required of today’s paralegal professionals. The courses introduce you to the legal system and legal procedures. You study topics such as litigation, legal research, pleadings, and motions. You will be prepared to work as a paralegal within a law firm, legal department, or public agency.
