At the licensed International Diving Institute, classroom and in-water training is provided to candidates for Commercial Diving Certification. International Diving Institute (IDI) has been a respected underwater educator since 1996. Initial certification in SCUBA (basic to instructor trainer levels) or Air/Mixed Gas Surface Supplied (hookah, helmet) diving, is augmented by sought-after specialty training. This allows an increase in effectiveness and worth to your employer. Underwater welding, underwater burning, hazardous materials, and hyperbaric chamber technician are just some of the advanced classes offered.
Your training as a Commercial Diver takes place in attractive, weather-hospitable Charleston, South Carolina. The main campus is an old Navy base, with on-site access to barges and vessels. It is an open water site, where your technical skills are mastered in a safe, but realistic, environment. Courses are taught using real-world experiences incorporating pressures and deadlines. At the International Diving Institute's retail facility, all of the commercial and SCUBA equipment you need will be available for purchase. Equipment rental and service is available as well.
