Recording Arts
IADT's Bachelor Degree in Recording Arts program prepares students for professional career development opportunities in the audio recording industry. The Recording Arts program focuses on the use of industry-current digital audio technology, hardware, software, and industry standard equipment and studio facilities.
The program will begin by teaching music theory and then move on to advanced recording and mixing and mastering techniques, as well as the principles of sound design for CD production, film and video, digital audio production, and DVD production. IADT's Recording Arts program has a strong emphasis on digital audio production and technique. Classes consist of a well-balanced mix of studio and field production. Lab rooms are outfitted with industry-current Macintosh computers, industry standard software, hardware, mixers, and keyboards. The digital studio houses an isolation booth for studio recordings, as well as a full ProTools system.
