You are a meticulous professional, clean and orderly in your habits. You also have the empathy to relieve patient anxiety and provide for their comfort in the dental office. Graduates of the Dental Assistant program at High-Tech will receive a diploma, and also have the opportunity to participate in a seven week externship under the guidance of a dental professional.

Dental Assistants are essential to the smooth operation of dental facilities. They handle a multitude of responsibilities, including patient intake, obtaining records, assisting the dentist with instruments and mouth reparation. They also instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care. Many are involved with actual dental procedures, and Assistants often perform lab functions. Front office duties might include scheduling and confirming appointments, accounts and record keeping, and receiving patients.
After graduation your qualifications will allow designation as a Dental Assistant, Chairside Assistant, or Dental Receptionist in dental offices or clinics. The unpaid externship allows real-world integration of the skills
that you have learned in the program.
