Cardio-Phlebotomy Technician
The Cardio-Phlebotomy Technician program at Health Training Center combines the skills of a phlebotomy and EKG technician. You will develop the ability to draw blood, operate EKG heart monitors, and interpret EKG test results. The phlebotomy courses you take teach you how to carry out venipuncture procedures, control infections, and collect blood and other specimens.
The EKG courses introduce you to heart anatomy and physiology, including diseases. You also learn how to use EKG equipment and interpret the reports and readings that they produce. In addition, you will learn how to perform CPR on infants, children, and adults. You will graduate ready to take on EKG and phlebotomy-related positions in hospitals, private practices, clinics, extended care facilities, and more.
