Upon successful completion of the 12-month Gibbs Certificate Program you should be able to configure and troubleshoot workstations in a number of Microsoft operating systems including being able to create and manage logic scripts, assign user rights, address file system security, share resources, implement menus, and manage from the system server console. In addition, the PC training you receive will provide valuable hands-on experience in installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and fault isolating with the most common components within a PC.
To enhance your hardware knowledge base, the Gibbs Computer Technical Support Program includes administrative training in network topologies, protocols, and workstation network access. In Gibbs’ Information Technology: Network Design and Administration program, you will gain a broad understanding of the IT field while acquiring specialized skills designing and managing networks. You will become familiar with three types of networks: local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and storage area networks (SANs). The courses also help you develop expertise with network operating and security systems.
