Surveying Schools

So what are surveying schools all about? What can you expect from a career in surveying? Well, surveyors help create the landscape in which we live. They are visionaries who collect and analyze data and other technical information for land and building surveying. If you cannot even picture yourself working at a desk and nothing sounds better than a career that takes you outside, this is the path for you!

Surveying schools essentially teach you about boundaries, whether these boundaries are for land, sea, or air. You will learn how to use highly-specialized field equipment in order to come up with precise measurements. You could even learn how to take the data you collect in order to create maps, reports, and plots. Engineering, geometry, math, physics, trigonometry, and even law are just a few of the topics you could study. You could work for city and state departments, private contractors, and much more!

The following schools offer programs that feature surveying training as a component of the curriculum.
