A Mechanical Engineering Technician designs and manufactures products and processes. They work with consumer products, industrial equipment, and other mechanical devices and will take them through the entire production cycle. When you train to become a Mechanical Engineering Technician, you will learn how to plan and work through production cycles and solve engineering problems using computer-aided design software and technology.

Mechanical engineering technician schools will show you how to design and work with existing automated programs and equipment. You will be able to operate motor control and power fluid systems. You will also strengthen your mathematical abilities so you can make accurate calculations and estimates when planning and designing an engineering project. Once you complete your training, you will be prepared for a variety of interesting careers, including Mechanical Engineer, Product Designer, Process Designer, Design Engineer, and Automation Specialist!
