You can get started on your career as a scrub today by enrolling in Colorado Technical University’s Surgical Technology Associate Degree program. You will learn the skills, knowledge, and behavior expected of surgical technicians so you are able to work in local and regional health care settings.
This program teaches you how to work alongside all surgical personnel, including surgeons and anesthesiologists. You will assist before, during, and after procedures while maintaining a sterile environment the whole way through. Your training also includes 500 hours of clinical experience in operating rooms at local hospitals. This will equip you with what is needed to work in emergency, delivery, and operating rooms in both inpatient and outpatient surgical settings!
