Through this training, you will develop IV therapy, patient care, and assessment skills. You will be able to begin your career in acute and long-term care and other community health care settings.
You are shown how to offer professional nursing care to individuals and groups of all ages. You will promote rehabilitation, health, and wellness. The courses you take teach you about disease pathologies, medication, and therapeutic intervention. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act and other nursing standards.
An additional benefit to the Practical Nursing program is that it prepares you for certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Missouri: licensure is required for most practical nursing positions.
