In CDA's on-site medical classroom you can learn the ins and outs of anatomy and physiology, as well as the functions of the cardiovascular, respiratory, and nervous systems. You can also learn a range of skills that can be applied to real-life situations, including how to administer blood pressure, detect respiratory rates, and listen to lung sounds.
CDA's hands-on curriculum can also teach you a variety of emergency room medical procedures, including advanced resuscitation and cardiac techniques, as well as how to close open wounds, relieve pressure in the chest cavity and lungs, and replace lost blood and body fluids. As a graduate, you can be eligible to apply for EMT - Basic certification through the State of Florida.
