Each program at CDA is led by expert instructors who are backed by thousands of hours of diving experience and offer plenty of personal attention, while never losing sight of their first priority, which is your safety. The diving instruction is comprehensive, rigorous, and recognized by the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA). CDA can also allow you to gain hands-on experience using industry-current equipment within their state-of-the-art diving facilities, including a newly-renovated Deep Water Diving Center.
CDA can also provide you with a variety of comprehensive learning tools. The on-site bookstore supplies all required texts and classroom consumables, while the Norman Ketchman Library maintains a wide selection of books, periodicals, journals, reference materials. You can also take advantage of access to computers which feature internet access. Outside of your studies, you can enjoy on-campus housing, as well as a full meal plan. If you wish to find off-campus housing, the Office of Student Services is available to help you check out Jacksonville's variety of available residential facilities, including apartments, condominiums, and extended-stay hotels.
CDA is fully accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), as well as the Divers Certification Board of Canada (DCBC), which is recognized by the IMCA. In addition, CDA is recognized by the United States Department of Education, and is therefore able to offer financial aid to those who qualify.
