3D Animation Certificate
One of the most exciting growth areas of digital arts is digital animation. The program of choice for visionary students is the 3D Animation Certificate offered by the renowned Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University. Full-time (two term) or part-time (four term) curriculums provide intensive coursework will provide the requisite skills to realize your personal and career goals.
The curriculum is presented in 'modules,' which allows an initial broad knowledge base. Your training as a digital animator begins with the fundamentals, achieved through hands-on practice using the most up-to-date technology. Alias/ Wavefront Maya 3D software assists in the creation of 3D models, animations, and scenes.
The school also emphasizes the value of educating for real-world application, as well as providing students with the necessary technical theory. Conception, composition and figure drawing are the basic building blocks, and skill is solidified with lots of hands on learning. By the end of the course, you will have rendered a 'short,' complete with associated models, textures and animations. With your demo reel in hand, you will be prepared to make your mark in the animation industry.
