Welding Technician Training

Do you want to be an integral part of the booming construction industry? Job prospects are hot right now for welding projects on buildings, bridges, and other structures. Welders are also needed for shipbuilding, automobile manufacturing and repair, aerospace applications, industrial maintenance and in thousands of other positions.

Welcome to Baran’s Welding Technology Program!

Baran's Welding Program guides you quickly into one of today's "hottest" careers. This Welding Technology Program is a 68 quarter-credit-hour program, but still remains flexible to suit your career needs. As a student of this program, you can choose to train for just a few weeks towards a job position with few qualifications or you can attend for several years of combined school and on-the-job training to meet the criteria for highly-skilled jobs. No matter how long your program lasts, you can be sure that the majority of your course time will be spent working hands-on with welding equipment.

The shop is set up so that you can train to weld in the vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. Specific applications of welding like oxyacetylene, metallic arc, tungsten inert gas (TIG) and metal inert gas (MIG) are taught in the program. Additional coursework in welding theory, blueprint reading, basic shop math, and gas welding round out the program. As a Welding Technology Program graduate, you will undoubtedly be well-prepared with first-hand, hands-on knowledge - expertise that will qualify you to be a top-rate entry-level welder or fabricator.
