Diesel Technician Training
If you shoot straight for the big leagues, this career program is for you. By next year, you can be working in one of the largest growing industries -- re-building mainline engines on any given day and trouble-shooting computer fuel systems the next. In fact, training for a career as a diesel service technician or mechanic can lead to relatively high wages and lead to challenging, interesting skilled repair work. By this time next year, you may find yourself working in a dealership, a local repair facility, a transmission shop, or you may even be running your own diesel repair business!
Baran Offers A Nationally-Recognized Program
Since national certification is the accepted standard of achievement for diesel service technicians and mechanics, this program’s diesel curriculum has been reviewed and has become ASE certified in all areas by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).
How the Diesel Technology Program "Runs"
The Diesel Technology Program is an 85.50 quarter-credit-hour hands-on program. As a student of this program you'll first be instructed in the basic theory. Then you'll have your hands "elbow deep" in all aspects of the diesel industry, having the opportunity to apply the theory with your hands, in the shop and on practical work. In most cases, the practical work means working on individual components and trucks -- from training in hydraulics to learning to perform major overhauls on today's leaders like Cummins, Mack, Caterpillar, Detroit, CAT and GMC automotive diesel.
