You can learn to offer critical care for children in a variety of settings by taking the Child Care Career Skills correspondence program at Ashworth College. You will learn through detailed lessons, and your package includes a first aid guide and kit specially designed for children. Your lesson plans will cover a wide range of topics related to the field of childcare.
You will look at the principles of development and the differences between infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-agers. You will learn about health and safety, and schedules and routines. You can also develop the ability to create fun and educational activities for children of all ages.
Once you complete the Child Care Career Skills program, you could work in a home-based care center, child day care, preschool, or for a care program within a religious or government institution. Your responsibilities could consist of responding to the children’s unique needs, reading stories, preparing schedules, and organizing games, arts, and crafts.
