  • Mediterranean Cooking / Cuisine - Mediterranean diets generally involve a significant amount of garlic and olive oil. Wheat is the basic grain and there is use of filo pastry. Mediterranean cooks use a wide range of vegetables and regional dishes tend to rely heavily on the use of locally-sourced ingredients. Typical cooking methods include grilling, roasting, and barbecuing. Common dishes can include hummus, falafel, and pastitsio.
